Our Story
Brooke Myers, founder of BAM Industries LLC, has been involved in the equestrian industry her entire life. Brooke grew up on her family’s farm in Port Matilda, Pennsylvania where she learned the value of hard work and dedication from an early age. When Brooke was young, she competed in a variety of events including hunter jumping, western all-around classes, and even played polocrosse in her early adolescence years. Over time, Brooke has found her niche in the reining industry—competing in National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) sanctioned events since 2010. In 2016, Brooke won her first top 10 NRHA world title in the Non Pro division aboard the mare Ready Spook. Since then, Brooke has set her sights on the achievement of advanced goals in NRHA competitive events as she develops her new horses to their competitive potential.
Brooke has a Bachelor’s degree in Immunology and Infectious disease and a minor in Chemistry from The Pennsylvania State University. Although Brooke holds a full-time position as a chemist since graduating college, her heart and passion still lies within the equine industry. More specifically, Brooke enjoys buying, training, and selling her own NRHA prospects.
Brooke came up with the idea for a wheelbarrow mount for horse trailers after struggling to find a good spot for the wheelbarrow when traveling to horse shows. Without a hay pod atop of the trailer, the wheelbarrow would have to haul in one of the stalls of the trailer. This would limit the number of horses that she could haul by at least one, and, if the stud panel was filled with hay, she could (barely) fit it there. Unloading the wheelbarrow in this case, was a hassle and often led to hay spilling everywhere. Moreover, she could tie the wheelbarrow inside, but it could roll under the next stall, posing a safety risk to other horses. When all the slots were full, the wheelbarrow had to stay home since she didn’t have a hay pod. Frustrated, Brooke set out to design a better solution—a wheelbarrow bracket that could mount the wheelbarrow safely on the OUTSIDE of the trailer.
The wheelbarrow bracket is the easy answer to hauling your wheelbarrow to shows anywhere. It is a durable, easy-to-mount, and easy-to-use aluminum bracket that will make your life easier when getting ready to go on the road! No more heavy lifting to get the wheelbarrow to the hay pod or overcrowding it into the stalls of the trailer. Brooke’s bracket solution is all you need to safely haul your wheelbarrow hassle free. Brooke hopes that this mount will make life easier for horse owners everywhere.
